ACAT Profesores

Dream it.

Donna Talmage(Snack Lady, Guitar) has been a part of ACAT since it began. She is retired from the Haverhill Public Library and is happy to continue working with children from Haverhill. Donna is our “snack lady.” She also helps with guitar lessons.

Build it.

Jan High (Violin) has played violin since Elementary School, and taught at ACAT since the second year of the program’s existence, Jan has certification to teach the Suzuki Method through Book 3.  She also plays with the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra.  She looks forward to another year of working with our wonderful students!

Grow it.

Deirdre Budzyna (Theatre) has been a theater educator for over 30 years.  She is the owner of Acting Out Studios in Newburyport and an early childhood professor at Northern Essex Community College.

Sell it.

David Talmage (Guitar) has won awards as a songwriter, banjo and fiddle player.  He loves entertaining, and teaching and working at ACAT is one of the things he finds most rewarding in life.

“Mr. Dave” has been with the program since 2011.

Lilli Leggio (Art) may have an MFA in creative writing, but making art with children, particularly out of recycled materials, has become her passion. She teaches art to middle-school girls at Esperanza Academy, as well as at the Essex Art Center in Lawrence. She feels excited and privileged to work with such an enthusiastic and committed group of art makers.

Style it.

Linda Morris (Piano) has taught Elementary and Middle School General Music at several schools in New York State and New Hampshire. She also plays String Bass with the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, and is very active in the Praise and Worship Team at her church in Penacook, NH.

Dr. Janet King (Chorus) has led The Academy of Creative Arts at Trinity (ACAT) since 2014. She also previously served as the Music Director at Trinity Church and the Chorus teacher at ACAT. These positions bring together her musical and administrative talents with a strong calling to serve inner-city youth and families through enrichment programs in the arts and education.  Janet really, really loves to sing and we do a lot of that at ACAT!

Share it.
