Our Mission

Urban Bridges Inc. is a non-profit support program that began as a dynamic charitable arm of Trinity Episcopal Church in Haverhill, Massachusetts.  It is comprised of The Academy of Creative Arts at Trinity (ACAT), started in 2009, Dinah’s House, started in 2016 and Food Forward that debuted in 2025. Urban Bridges is dedicated to empowering all individuals in Greater Haverhill—including women, men, and youth—by providing a continuum of services through the programs of ACAT, Dinah’s House, and Food Forward. Our mission is to foster community strength and individual growth by offering crisis referrals, cultural enrichment, educational opportunities, and self-sufficiency skills training. We are committed to building an inclusive environment where every person can access resources, develop resilience, and realize their full potential.

From its inception Urban Bridges Inc. has endeavored to be inclusive of a broad swath of both religious and secular groups, to represent good citizenship and build community, and to provide a safe haven for neighborhood families within a stimulating learning environment, while providing a welcoming and supportive place, where conversation, empathy, and encouragement meet the stress of inner city problems.
